What happens to a report

  1. The message is triaged by subject.
  2. Factual claims are checked against the strongest available evidence.
  3. Credible rights concerns may trigger temporary removal during review.
  4. Material changes are recorded in the Editorial Record.
  5. Personal details are not published without permission.

Before sending

  • Put spoilers and the episode number in the subject line.
  • Do not send confidential production material.
  • Do not attach artwork until requested.
  • Do not include unnecessary personal information.
  • For urgent legal concerns, begin the subject with “Rights concern”.

Response standard

The Casebook aims to acknowledge substantive corrections, accessibility problems and rights concerns within seven days. Research or permission checks may take longer. This is an editorial contact, not an official contact for the BBC, producers, cast or Cambridge authorities.
