Biography

Television and stage career

Mark Bonnar joined Ludwig as Gareth Fisher for its second series, according to McEwan & Penford. The BBC Programme Index records him as Duncan Hunter in Shetland. BAFTA Scotland connects him with Line of Duty, Catastrophe and Unforgotten through his individual television-actor nominations and win.

These selected primary-source records show the range of his screen work without pretending to be a complete filmography. Dates and role names for every production, and personal biography claims, require a fuller source audit.

Theatre

Royal Court work

The Royal Court’s living archive lists Bonnar in the cast of Thomas Eccleshare’s Instructions for Correct Assembly, directed by Hamish Pirie. The archive also names the creative team, so this is a direct production record rather than an inferred stage credit.

Production photographs on that archive remain with their credited photographer. The Casebook links to the record but has no licence to reuse them here.

Artwork and photographs

Original fan-art portrait

The header uses a clearly labelled, original editorial likeness illustration created for this independent fan archive. It is not an official image or production still. Agency photographs, press images and programme stills remain on their publishers’ sites unless reuse permission is documented.

Skills

Casting CV needed

The sources used for this draft document productions, not a current approved list of accents, languages, voice types or specialist performance skills. Those fields remain open.

Training

Training source needed

No specific school or qualification is established by the sources linked here. A verified performer or representative CV is needed before adding a training history.

Awards and recognition

BAFTA Scotland television-actor award

BAFTA Scotland’s award record names Bonnar as its 2017 Actor Television winner for Unforgotten. It also records nominations in 2014 for Line of Duty and 2015 for Catastrophe. These are individual records, not production awards or claimed wins for the nominated roles. Other awards still need a separate awarding-body audit.
