Biography

Professional overview

Joseph Ollman is a Welsh actor, writer and director. His own biography describes two connected strands of work: acting in television and film, and making short films through his company Four Face Films. His representative’s CV records sustained screen work from Knightfall and Domina through Vampire Academy, Industry, Queenie, Spent, The Guest and Ludwig.

His filmmaking began with Throw Me to the Dogs, co-directed with Aaron Dunleavy and made with non-professional performers. Short of the Week documents the production. Ollman’s later short Meat on Bones received a 2017 BAFTA Cymru Short Film nomination. His own account also records Bitter Sky, the BBC Wales short Penelope, The Trail and the screenplay All Poor Creatures. These are filmmaking credits, not acting awards.

Selected acting credits from the agency CV: Iullus and Young Iullus in Domina; Jesse Zeklos in Vampire Academy; Craig in Industry; Guy in Queenie; David in Spent; Mike Rice in The Guest; and Andy in the feature Pink Wall. Stage work listed by the agency includes Oedipus/Antigone, The Gutterfly Tribe, The Visit, Chatroom and Dangerous Liaisons. The CV does not date every entry, so this is a selected record rather than a complete chronological filmography.

Series 2 Episode 3

British Comedy Guide’s episode cast lists Ollman as Zack Woodson in Series 2 Episode 3. The agency CV instead labels his Ludwig S2 part “Joshua”. The two sources agree on the performer and production but not the character name; the broadcast end credits must settle that discrepancy.

episode guide: Series 2, Episode 3.

Zack Woodson is the Casebook’s current episode-listing label, not a claim that the agency CV agrees.

Artwork and photographs

Original fan-art portrait

The header uses a clearly labelled, original editorial likeness illustration created for this independent fan archive. It is not an official image or production still. Agency photographs, press images and programme stills remain on their publishers’ sites unless reuse permission is documented.

Skills

Performer-supplied information required

Accents, dialects, languages, voice types, singing, dance, instruments, stage combat, sport, driving and specialist skills are left unlisted until an authorised CV confirms them.

Training

Documented training

The agency CV records one year of Acting for Stage and Camera at Identity School of Acting in 2015–16 and four years at Home Studio with Laurence Mitchell. It does not list a degree; none is inferred here.

Awards and recognition

Filmmaking recognition

BAFTA Cymru’s 2017 results name Meat on Bones and Joseph Ollman as Short Film nominees. This recognition concerns his filmmaking; it is not an acting nomination or a win. Other festival or prize claims on his own biography need individual award-body checks before being stated as independently confirmed.

Representation and availability

Contact through authorised channels

Conway Van Gelder Grant lists David Lazenby and Greg Herst as Ollman’s representatives. Check the agency page for current representation and professional enquiries; the Casebook does not publish private contact details or imply availability.
