Biography

From touring theatre to television

Her representative’s credits trace work across stage, television, film and voice. An early screen role was Lizzie Buckingham in James Ivory’s Shakespeare Wallah (1965). She became widely known as Barbara Good in the BBC comedy The Good Life, which began in 1975. The BBC’s programme archive confirms the Barbara credit. Later television roles include Helena in The Camomile Lawn, Rosemary Boxer in Rosemary & Thyme, Lady Clemency Eddison in Doctor Who, and Carole Miroy in Rivals. Stage roles on the representative’s CV range from Constanze in Amadeus and Annie in The Real Thing to Judith Bliss in Hay Fever, Dottie in Noises Off and Mrs Eleanor Swan in Indian Ink. The list shows a continuing theatre career alongside familiar screen characters, rather than a move away from the stage after television success. United Agents stage credits

Ludwig: Lady Camilla Bryce

Kendal’s representative records the role as Lady Camilla Bryce in the BBC’s first series. The Casebook links her to the manor-house case in Series 1 Episode 2, where the fictional Bryce Manor is central to the investigation. No reliable first-person account of her casting or preparation for Ludwig has yet been located, so this page does not invent one. United Agents
