Biography

Television career

Sam Swainsbury plays Mr Bishop in Ludwig Series 1 Episode 5. His representative’s credit list identifies Jason as a series-regular role across all three series of Mum, and Kevin Russell in Fearless. It also lists roles in Call the Midwife, Victoria, Hanna, The Red King, Dalgliesh and Run Away.

These are selected production and role credits from the agency list; they do not constitute a complete chronological biography or imply details about private life.

Film and theatre

Screen and stage range

The Artists Partnership lists Swainsbury as Rowan in both Fisherman’s Friends films, DI Brompton in The Duke and a Stonehenge news reporter in Thor: The Dark World. Its stage record includes Robert in Relics, Sergeant Troy in Far from the Madding Crowd at the Watermill Theatre and Sandy Tyrell in Hay Fever at Rose Theatre Kingston.

On his own site, Swainsbury also describes work behind the camera: producing and directing short films, third-assistant-director and production-assistant work, and editing showreels through Reels by Sam. This is his account of his wider practice, not a checked film-by-film production ledger.

Agency headshots and production imagery are linked rather than reproduced until reuse permission is established.

Artwork and photographs

Original fan-art portrait

The header uses a clearly labelled, original editorial likeness illustration created for this independent fan archive. It is not an official image or production still. Agency photographs, press images and programme stills remain on their publishers’ sites unless reuse permission is documented.

Skills

Approved casting CV needed

The public credit list does not establish current accents, languages or specialist skills. Those entries require a performer-approved casting CV rather than inference from roles.

Training

Training source needed

No specific drama school, qualification or dated training route is established by the linked records. This section remains open.

Awards and recognition

Individual awards audit open

The linked agency record does not establish a personal nomination or win. An award won by a production is not automatically an individual award for its performers.

Representation and availability

The Artists Partnership maintains Swainsbury’s public professional profile and enquiry route. Refer to its live page for current information; availability can change.
