Biography

Actor and comedy writer

Kiell Smith-Bynoe works across television comedy, stage performance, writing and presenting. His current agency profile lists Mike in Ghosts, Dean in Stath Lets Flats, Spence in Dreamland and Aaron James in Death Valley. Channel 4’s press biography also identifies Man Like Mobeen, The Curse and Taskmaster among his work.

BritBox announced his 2026 Ludwig Christmas-special appearance. His agency CV independently lists the production, names Chris Foggin as director and still marks the part “TBA”. The character is therefore not stated here.

Selected work

Sketches, improv and presenting

Conway van Gelder Grant credits Smith-Bynoe with creating and starring in Red Flag for Channel 4, writing for Enterprice, Bloods and Mitchell & Webb Are Not Helping, and co-writing and performing the musical comedy String V SPITTA. The agency also documents his live improv show Kool Story Bro and his stint hosting series 10 of The Great British Sewing Bee. These are selected credits, not a complete dated ledger.

Channel 4’s series-15 press pack includes an interview with Smith-Bynoe about joining Taskmaster. His professional CV supplies additional film, television and stage roles, including Ghosts, The Government Inspector and String V SPITTA.

Awards and recognition

Programme awards, not personal wins

Broadcast’s winner record identifies Red Flag as Best Short Form Scripted, and the agency credits Smith-Bynoe as its creator and star. BAFTA records Stath Lets Flats winning Scripted Comedy in 2020 and its acceptance speech thanks “Kiell” among the cast. These are programme awards; neither is presented as an individual acting award for Smith-Bynoe.

Representation

Current professional listing

Conway van Gelder Grant lists Becky Williams as his representative and provides the current public enquiry route. Consult the live agency page for availability and contact terms; no private details or agency media are copied.
